We have been working very hard this week trying to find new investigators to teach.
On Tuesday, I went on divisions with the other elders in my district and they went pretty well. While I was gone, Elder Barrios went and contacted some people with Aldo, our new convert. Apparently Aldo has no fear in talking to people and is willing to talk to everyone. But I guess that is what happens when you used to be a preacher for another church. On Sunday, for testimony meeting, he got up shared his testimony which was amazing. He has changed so much since we first met him.
This week we also had the baptism for Nelis and Meybeline Lopez. It almost didn’t happen since they weren’t home until late at night on Saturday. Apparently she had to suddenly work at the time we had the baptism originally planned. So we ended up doing the baptism on Sunday.
We found a few families this week. One was a reference from Gloria, one of my converts, for her brother and his wife, Felix and MarĂa. Felix pretty much already knows everything about the Book of Mormon and has read it all. We just have to get them to church and teach the wife everything and they will be ready for baptism.
Another family we found was when we passed by for the house of a member we have never visited. When we visited, the sister and her husband were there and they had never talked with the missionaries before. They are pretty interested and seem mostly willing to listen and to act. We hope to baptize both of these families this month.
But that was the week. Today we sat around the house and had a movie lunch. We watched the Emma Smith movie, which was very good.
That was my week, not much else to report. Thanks for all of the support.
